Amelia Zheng is a technology evangelist, speaks three languages and holds two law degrees from two countries. Working at a Canadian aerospace company as a commercial and contract lead, Amelia is responsible for negotiating contracts worldwide, launching a business connection, fostering innovation and technology.
As an aspiring entrepreneur, Amelia is an active advocate in Toronto’s Start-up community in addition to being an involved community builder. With a vision and broad acumen towards bold projects, Amelia is currently developing a ground-breaking backpack helicopter (Airvinci.com) to transform the future of personal flight.
In January 2015, Amelia led the creation and launch of NAAAPTO’s MasterMind Program. Establishing a professional development program cornerstone, the success of the 8 month pilot initiative directly addressed personal and professional challenges women face in the workplace. Moreover, participants nurtured lifelong friendships resulting from an authentic and engaged peer support experience.
While taking time off from changing the world into a better place, Amelia is a marathon runner, life-long volunteer, Big sister, world traveller, problem solver and do gooder.
